Offensive Player of the Week

Alec Coleman, Western New England (Jr., QB)

Junior quarterback Alec Coleman (Arlington, Mass.) completed 66.7 percent (18-of-27) passes for 179 yards in Western New England's 31-23 win over Westfield State. Three of his completions went for scores leaving him with a 151.6 efficiency rating. He also picked up 19 yards on the ground on three rushing attempts.

Defensive Player of the Week

Jared Abbruzzese, Nichols (Jr., DB)

Junior Jared Abbruzzese (Natick, Mass.) tied a program record with a three interceptions in Nichols' 35-14 win over Anna Maria on Friday (Sept. 7). He had one pick in each of the last three quarters of the game with his takeaway in the fourth setting up the Bison's fourth touchdown of the night. Prior to Friday night's game, Abbruzzese only had one collegiate interception to his name. He also record seven tackles (five solo, two assisted) in the contest.

Offensive Rookie of the Week

Ryan Gaboury, University of New England (So., WR)

Sophomore receiver Ryan Gaboury (Cumberland, R.I.) was on offensive standout in the University of New England's first home varsity contest. Gaboury caught six passes for a 104 yards giving him 17.3 yards per catch. One of his catches accounted for UNE's only touchdown of the game in its loss to Husson. It was a 37-yard reception in the third quarter giving the Nor'easters their first home touchdown in program history.

Week #2 - Ryan Gaboury, University of New England

     

Defensive Rookie of the Week

Materrence Holloway, Becker (Fr., DB)

Freshman Materrence Holloway (Tampa, Fla.) made two big plays in Becker's narrow 23-19 defeat at the hands of Worcester State on Saturday (Sept. 8). First in the second quarter, he recovered a botched snap on a field goal attempt and returned it 75 yards for the Hawk's first touchdown of the season. Later in the same quarter, Holloway stalled a Worcester State drive with an interception. Additionally, Holloway had for tackles (three solo, one assisted) and one pass breakup.

Week #2 - Materrence Holloway, Becker

     

Special Teams Player of the Week

Nick DiCairano, Endicott (Jr., K)

Endicott kicker Nick DiCairano (Trumbull, Conn.) had a perfect kicking night in the Gulls' first Friday night home game in program history. He accounted for five points in his team's 17-3 win over Bridgewater State. He converted his only a field goal attempt of the night, a 25-yarder in first quarter, while also sending two extra-point attempts through the uprights. Two of his four kickoffs wen for touchbacks.

Week #2 - Nick DiCairano, Endicott

Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) is a single-sport football conference operating under the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) umbrella. The league has been in operation since 1965 (formerly as the New England Football Conference (NEFC)). The league currently consists of seven members – Becker, Curry, Endicott, Nichols, Salve Regina, the University of New England, and Western New England. Husson will join the conference in 2019.
