Offensive Player of the Week

Alec Coleman, Western New England (Jr., QB)

Junior Alec Coleman (Arlington, Mass.) sparked the Western New England offense that scored 70 points on Saturday (Oct. 20). He contributed six total touchdowns, two passing and four rushing, to the effort. Most of his damage was done on the ground as he rushed for 114 yards on nine attempts, averaging 12.7 yards per carry. He was 9-for-18 (50.0 percent) through the air going for 171 yards. He had an efficiency rating of 155.4.

Defensive Player of the Week

Drew Balestrieri, Salve Regina (Jr., LB)

Salve Regina linebacker Drew Balestrieri (Lynnfield, Mass.) got the scoring started on the first possession of the game as he picked off a Curry pass and took it 32 yards for a touchdown. He had another interception later in the quarter, giving him two on the day. The junior also recorded seven tackles in the contest, including six solo stops.

Offensive Rookie/Special Teams Player of the Week

AJ Hall, Western New England (Fr., WR)

Big plays were AJ Hall's (Norwalk, Conn.) game for Western New England on Saturday (Oct. 20) as he contributed two scores to the Golden Bears' 70-13 victory. His first score came late in the first quarter as he returned a University of New England punt 80 yards for a touchdown. He also had the final score of the half as he grabbed a 52-yard touchdown pass.

Joshua Salem, Western New England (Fr., LB)

Freshman Joshua Salem (Dracut, Mass.) was a part of a Western New England defense that held the University of New England to just 13 points on Saturday (Oct. 20). He had four tackles (three solo, one assisted) in the effort and also broke up a pass attempt.

Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) is a single-sport football conference operating under the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) umbrella. The league has been in operation since 1965 (formerly as the New England Football Conference (NEFC)). The league currently consists of seven members – Becker, Curry, Endicott, Nichols, Salve Regina, the University of New England, and Western New England. Husson will join the conference in 2019.
