SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be holding a food drive from Friday, Nov. 10 to Friday, Nov. 17.
The event was organized by the conference SAAC members at their fall meeting, which was held at Gordon College in October.
Each of the 10 CCC full member institutions is coordinating the event on its own campus. During the week, each school will solicit donations of food items and report the count of items collected to the Conference office at the end of each day. An updated leaderboard of items collected will be released every morning of the drive.
Every school will be accepting donations in different ways. Some will have donation boxes outside of their athletic department, while others will be accepting food items in exchange for admission into athletic contests. For more information on how you can contribute to the drive, reach out to your respective institution.
At the end of the week, each school will deliver the donated items locally to an organization of its choice.
