SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Endicott junior kicker Nick DiCairano (Trumbull, Conn.) has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, as announced by the organization earlier today.

Currently, in its 20th season, the D3football.com Team of the Week honors the top player nationally at each position from the previous week. Award winners are nominated by their school's respective sports information director and chosen by the D3football.com staff.

DiCairano, who also was named the Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) Special Teams Player of the Week last Sunday, earned his spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week by contributing nine points to Endicott's 27-24 win over Hobart on Saturday, Sept. 22. He was perfect on three extra points and on two field goals, from 27 and 41 yards, in the three-point victory.

DiCairano is the first Endicott football student-athlete to earn this prestigious honor since Craig Anderson '17 (Franklin, Mass.) did so on Sept. 29, 2015. DiCairano also is the only kicker in Endicott program history to claim this award since it was established in 1999.

Meanwhile, Endicott's other D3football.com Team of the Week award winners include Endicott Athletics Hall of Famer Kevin Eagan '12 and Dylan Rushe '14. Both Eagan (2009, Week 10 | 2011, Week 4) and Rushe (2013, Week 2 | 2013, Week 11) are the only student-athletes in program history to claim multiple D3football.com Team of the Week honors.
